This exquisite violin from 1889 features a highly flamed two-piece maple back with a beautiful, tightly grained spruce top.
Wenzel Lenk was born in 1840 in Germany and worked in Frankfurt for many years as an accomplished violin maker. In 1881, Lenk won the prestigious gold medal for violin at a world-wide competition held in Frankfurt am Main.
