Penzel Violin Bow

$1,595.00

Fine silver mount bow made in the Penzel workshop

Description

The Penzel Workshop was started over 100 years ago by Emil Max Penzel in Erlbach. Bows originally heavily influenced by the work of Lamy in Paris, but eventually deviated into something unique. The family workshop is still active today, and is run by Roland Penzel on the commercial, repair and restoration side of the business, while his son Matthias focuses on handmaking bows, occasionally on commission.

This silver mount bow has a firm octagonal stick, a finely made silver mount frog w/ faux whalebone grip, and the original silver tip.
