Otto Dürrschmidt Violin Bow

The Durschmidt Workshop was started in 1894 by Otto Durschmidt in Markneukirchen. After his death is 1922, the shop was taken over by his sons, Kurt Otto, and Carl Wilhelm Dürrschmidt. To this day, the shop is still active in bow making in Markneukirchen. This fine violin bow is made in the workshop by the later generations of the Dürrschmidt family. The stick is made with an exceptional piece of pernambuco with a finely made silver mount frog, with a gorgeous metal-lined abalone slide, and matching eyes.
