Franz Joseph Koch was a professor and violin maker based in Dresden, Germany in the early 1900’s. By conducting microscopical research on old Cremonese violins, it has been said that he was able to closely recreate the tonal quality associated with violins made by the original Italian masters. Splendid instruments of impeccable workmanship with a transparent oil varnish.
