Description
Georges Cunault was a French violin maker who worked in Paris. Cunault began his apprenticeship at the age of 17 under Sebastien Vuillaume. Later on in 1873 Georges joined Claude-Augustin Miremont, former collaborator of Bernadel Père. In 1893 he established his own workshop, where we worked for the rest of his career. Henley described Cunault’s work in his book as “To assert they are unrivalled by those of any other modern Frenchman is not to be deemed an exaggeration. Every detail beautifully correct and most neatly finished.”
